NUEVO DISCO DE SAYRICON-NEW SATYRICON ALBUM

El próximo día 9 de septiembre es la fecha elegida para la publicación del nuevo disco de esta formación noruega de larga trayectoria en la musica extrema.El nuevo álbum a editar por Roadrunner Records ,se llamara simplemente SATYRICON.
La salida del álbum coincide con la actuación  de la banda en la casa nacional noruega de la opera en Oslo llevará a cabo en conjunto con el 55 strong opera chorus  de la Ópera Nacional de Noruega.y en palabras de la propia banda; Nunca hemos hecho un disco que captura el espíritu de esta banda en la búsqueda de una forma concreta.

Tras la muerte de mi gato Bronson surge la idea de hacerle un pequeño homenaje en forma de CD, pero al final para que el proyecto fuese más personal decidi hacerlo en cinta de cassette, todo más DIY y una buena forma de mantenerte ocupado cuando uno no esta bien del todo.

Publiqué en Facebook que buscaba grupos que cediesen una canción de forma desinteresada, y la respuesta fue infinitamente mejor de lo que esperaba y de esta manera se ha conseguido llenar una cinta de 90 minutos con todos los sonidos "underground" de la península.

La cinta tendrá el nombre de ACAB ( All Cars Are Bastards o All Cats Are Beautiful). A Bronson Tribute, es un claro "homenaje" a All Cops Are Bastards.

Todos los beneficios de esta cinta van a ser destinados a una asociación llamada El Jardinet dels Gats ( El Jardincito de los Gatos), que se dedica a recoger gatos de las calles y buscarles un buen hogar.

La cinta se ha agotado en apenas dos días (sólo son 100 copias) pero si quieres contribuir puedes comprar aquí en Bandcamp todas las canciones por la cantidad que quieras. ( la descarga es gratuita indicando 0 euros )

MISTY GREY-DOOM TRADICIONAL DESDE MADRID

 Misty Grey surgió en el 2008 de la mente de Juan, ex guitarrista de los míticos deathmetaleros Sacrophobia y de la banda de versiones de Black Sabbath, Sabbath Rules.La intención del grupo es homenajear a Black Sabbath y todos sus discipulos. La primera formación incluia a Lolo a la batería (ex Reznik, Bitch Wich) y Rakus al bajo. Tras el abandono de Lolo y Rakus (Quid Rides) les sustituye Javi (Dispain) y Robin (Brain Removal). En los primeros tiempos el grupo no tenía cantante hasta que surgió la idea de probar a Malicia (Bitch Witch) que encajó a la perfección con el concepto que quería el grupo. Con esta formación estable comenzarón a ensayar los temas para terminar grabando en el 2013 su primera Demo titulada Demon y que será editada proximamente en cassete. Durante el verano del 2013 han tramado una nueva grabación de la que no se tiene noticias todavía.

ROCK & METAL ENCOUNTER II JORNADAS UNIVERSIDAD DE JAÉN part.1

Nuestra Universidad de Jaén ha vuelto a abrir sus puertas para acoger un año más este Rock & Metal Encounter, proyecto creado y organizado por el programa TRITÓNICA de UniRadio Jaén. Como el año pasado contó con una muy buena acogida por parte del público, se decidió celebrar esta edición en otro edificio cuyo Salón de Grados ofrecía un aforo mayor, y contamos además con la colaboración de la propia Universidad y la Asociación Cultural Jaén Metal.

Estas jornadas nacieron con los objetivos de dignificar este género musical, el reconocimiento de los músicos, el apoyo a las bandas y el conocimiento y placer de sus seguidores. Por ello, la primera jornada (miércoles 22 de mayo) se desarrolló del siguiente modo:

A las 11:00 h se encargaba de la inauguración el Dr. Julio Ángel Olivares Merino, quien ya nos acompañó en la edición pasada con una conferencia que giraba en torno al universo del Black Metal. Este año su ponencia ha estado centrada principalmente en una banda: “En clave de escalofrío: simbolismo y estilística cinematográfica en Opeth”. Él mismo explicó que se decantó por esta banda porque es una de las más singulares dentro de su estilo y por su marcado componente cinematográfico.

Tras una pausa para comer, las jornadas seguían su curso a las 16:00 h de la tarde con una master-class de canto impartida por Fernando Pérez, sobradamente conocido en la escena provincial por su labor como docente y como músico en “La Soul Funk”. A todos aquellos que nunca habían participado en una clase de canto, Fer supo desde el primer momento engancharlos con una exposición muy dinámica acerca del aparato fonador y las distintas técnicas vocales. Hizo participar al público en todo momento, haciendo siempre hincapié en la importancia de perder el miedo a cantar en público y de cuidar nuestra voz si nos dedicamos al canto. En definitiva, dio una visión distinta y mucho más completa de lo que se denomina “canto moderno”.

A las 18:00 arrancaba la siguiente ponencia, de la mano del huracán Rasputín: nuestro colaborador Ibán Arrieta (Underground Noise) nos deleitó con su "Acero de doble hoja: retrospectiva sobre el NWOBHM". Durante 2 intensas horas, desgranó el origen de este estilo y pudimos disfrutar de las grandes bandas que hicieron surgir el movimiento, como Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Angel Witch, Girlschool o Diamond Head entre muchísimas otras. Para terminar, hizo referencia a los grupos actuales que han seguido esta estela y practican un heavy metal más actual (valga la redundancia) pero sin duda con grandes influencias en su sonido de la NWOBHM (Enforcer o White Wizzard entre otros). Hizo disfrutar de lo lindo a los amantes del género y contagió a todo el mundo su energía y pasión por esta música.

Se acercaba el final de la primera jornada, y el cierre no pudo ser mejor: hasta nuestra tierra se acercó Manuel Martínez, el mítico vocalista de Medina Azahara, que desde las 20:00 h aproximadamente habló del Rock Andaluz. Fue todo un lujo tenerlo con nosotros en este Rock & Metal Encounter, ya que todo lo que contó se basaba en su propia experiencia, él estuvo allí en los momentos clave del rock andaluz, conoció a los músicos que lo hicieron nacer, vivió en primera persona los entresijos de su explosión y posterior declive… Un placer contar con su presencia, toda una entidad tanto encima como debajo de los escenarios. ESLAVON-EX VACUO

Es indiscutible ,de un tiempo a esta parte,la gran calidad de las  bandas ,que en la actualidad forman la escena musical en cuanto a metal se refiere en el estado Español.
ESLAVON son un claro ejemplo a esta idea que suscita en este humilde apasionado de la musica, esperanza y alegría.
Su segundo álbum EX VACUO es sin duda,un gran álbum de principio a fin, comenzando por el híbrido thrash death de ANTIHUMANIDAD ,destacable la frenética  DESCONTROL,un corte muy crossover de finales de los 90 y que recuerdan en el estribillo a los mejores MACHINE HEAD acompañados de unos blast beats muy death metal. 
INSOMNE tiene una base rítmica  de apisonadora , un medio tiempo muy inspirado y ese regusto a thrash death de la vieja escuela,con un solo estupendo. 
EX VACUO es un tema instrumental a modo de interludio  de inspiración drone y que da titulo al disco. 
CEREBRO RADICAL,thrash metal en la yugular con expresión vocal de death metal como se hacia a finales de los 80,con una sensibilidad al final del tema mas experimental.

101 VOCES,thrash metal del siglo XXI, que se acerca al sonido de este estilo en nuestros días,tal como el que pueden facturar en la actualidad TESTAMENT o EXODUS.

RAZON REACCION,un pepinazo thrash death directo y agresivo.

KAOS INTERNO es quizá mi tema favorito de todo el disco, una canción de temática mas introspectiva,pero con un desarrollo musical constante y denso ,a momentos extremos a momentos mas melódico,en mi opinión el mas completo del disco y así un total de 10 canciones completando  con los temas AGORAFOBIA y BEODO este fantástico trabajo de esta estupenda formación sevillana.

Este nuevo disco ,muy inspirado todo hay que decirlo saca a la luz lo mejor del talento de este artista cada mas inclasificable,hiperactivo y superdotado ,gran revisionista por medio de su trabajo del cine de serie b ,el comic y la imagen de corte fantastico que caracteriza sus creaciones.

Como es de esperar tiene todo lo que tenian los disco de white zombie aderezados con el mejor gusto vintage que este barbudo señor es capaz de adornar casi toda su musica ,simplemente fantasticas canciones como;"Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown" "Lucifer Rising"  este ultimo un temazo ,ideal para conducir tu utilitario de camino a casa y atropellar alguna que otro policia municipal en un control de alcoholemia y alguna viejecita en bata y zapatillas.50 puntos¡¡¡¡no hay desperdicio un total de 12 canciones incluida una estupenda version de GRAND FUNK RAILROAD We're an american band.

un plastico muy recomendable o en su defecto un mp3( que te bajaras y llorara el niño jesus por tu escaso compromiso con la musica actual).

Un discazo para los que disfruten de la musica de este fantastico artista que puede dar un toque muy bizarro a tus fiestas veraniegas en tu balcon de tu pisito en tu ciudad dormitorio.
